Measure the Placenta declared June 1st to be Placenta Health Awareness Day!
A day dedicated to raising awareness about the vital role of the placenta in healthy pregnancies and stillbirth prevention.
June 1 (6/1) reflects the ideal fetal–placental weight ratio of 6:1 at term, a simple but powerful reminder of the placenta’s critical role in fetal growth and pregnancy outcomes.

World Blood Donor Day

The date was chosen because of Karl Landsteiner's birthday. Landsteiner was a Nobel Prize-winning scientist who discovered the ABO blood group system. His work revolutionized blood transfusions and made them safe and compatible.
