Gastroparesis is a chronic disorder where the stomach empties food into the small intestine too slowly. The cause of this disorder is because muscle or nerves are working improperly.
This annual event is held to educate the public on the disorder, improve early diagnosis and advocate for more research.

Psoriasis Awareness Month
August is Psoriasis Awareness month held every year by various organizations. The goal of the event is to educate the public about psoriasis: what it is, what it looks like, the impact it has on the body and what triggers it.
The event was also created to fight social stigma and supports those living with this chronic autoimmune disease.

Spinal Muscular Atrophy Awareness Month
Spinal Muscular Atrophy is a rare genetic disease that affects the central and peripheral nervous systems. It destroys the lower motor neurons in the spinal cord, which leads to progressive muscle weakness. It also impacts breathing, swallowing, crawling and walking.
