Da Vinci's Appendix

Did you know the very first image of the appendix was drawn by none other than Leonardo Da Vinci? Another fun appendix fact — the surgical robot used to remove your appendix laparoscopically is called... wait for it....the Da Vinci. One Da Vinci put the appendix on the map and another Da Vinci will rip your appendix out and wipe it off the face of the earth. Oh, the irony.
