Iāve had your uterus in my body for 37 months now. 1,128 days. The same uterus that grew your sweet little girl has also grown my two baby girls. The little baby kicks you felt, I feel too. It doesnāt even seem real typing that out. What a miraculous journey this has been. All because of YOU. Itās always been hard knowing I have your uterus because that means another day your baby hasnāt had you. So I donāt take any day that Iāve had your uterus for granted. I am so incredibly thankful. š
In 6 days and a few hours, Iāll be in the OR surrounded by a huge team of doctors delivering my second baby. A dream of mine I never thought would happen. First I had Zari and now to have Millie almost here tooā¦ I honestly canāt believe it! All because of you.
After I get to see my baby girl Iāll be put to sleep and they will take out my uterus. The uterus you gave me and the one I worked so hard to get and keep. It hasnāt been easy but itās been so incredibly worth it. I would like to say itās all ending with happy but thereās a lot of sad that comes with it too. From an MRKH diagnosis at 14 and being told it would be impossible to carry my own babies, to now carrying two babies. Your gift of a uterus completed me. A missing piece that I never had. So with now losing it in a week, I feel like Iām losing a part of you too.
Not a day goes by that I donāt think of you and your family. I try to honor you publicly often and show people how your life has impacted so many others. I tell your mom thank you often for her saying yes to me having your uterus. A million thank youās will never be enough for how much you have changed my life in the BEST of ways.
Thank you for helping me have my sweet babies. Thank you for helping to make my biggest dream come true. I can only hope you are looking down on us with a huge smile on your face.
