Cingulate Gyrus

The amygdala is our so-called “lizard brain” where we feel our most reactive, freaked-out, base emotions. Lucky for us humans we also have the cingulate gyrus, which brings your lizard brain freakouts over to the frontal lobe for reasoning. Thanks, cingulate gyrus!
