Are You Ok?
Hello! We are ok. Are you ok?
With offices in and a warehouse in Los Angeles county, we are pooping bricks, not gonna lie.
We also have staff in Boulder, where out-of-control wildfires recently raged, and in Florida, where hurricanes threatened. And aside from natural disasters, our staff has had health crises that hit close to home, too. It's tough out there.
Despite it being the apocalypse around here in Los Angeles, I am reminded that we each face our own mini-apocalypses every day:
When you visit our site, it's often it's because a loved one is sick, hospitalized, recently diagnosed or has taken a turn for the worse. Those tragedies close to home hit the hardest.
But when things get really bad, it's often when I see humanity at its best. I have gotten so many texts and calls from friends checking in. Family checking in. And when the poo-poo hits the fan, I'm often reminded that humans can be good. Great, in fact.
If you have a moment, think of someone close to you that you haven't reached out to for a while. Just to ask someone, are you ok? Sometimes a simple text or a call goes a long way. You just might make someone's day. Don't wait for a catastrophe to check up on someone.
