Ever wanted to learn how to make your own custom plush toys? Well don't miss our panel, coming to WonderCon next week! Independent toymakers will spill their guts on how they got their start in taking an idea and making it into something you can hold. Friday March 16th from 1:30-2:30 in room 203AB. Come and check out this fantastic panel featuring fab folks from DKE Toys, Mr. Toast, Munky King, Evil Ice Cream, Happy Worker, Hey Soupface and I Heart Guts. At the lovely Anaheim Convention Center.
Whether you love Valentine's Day or loathe it, we still want you to visit our gutsy pop-up shops! We've got three special spots where you can score Guts in person -- our pals at Munky King in Los Angeles, Trohv D.C. and Trohv Baltimore will be carrying the full I Heart Guts lineup for two weeks Feb. 1-14. Best of all? Your guts can actually do some good -- 10% of sales will go toward a local clinic, Hollywood Sunset Free Clinic, George Washington University's HEALing Clinic in D.C., and Johns Hopkins Urban Health Institute in Baltimore. Perhaps you want to say urine love with a kidney, or give your heart, or show someone how much you heart their guts, or maybe you're just tired of teddy bears, chocolate and roses, but for whatever reason, stop by and pay your guts a visit!
2009_posterProving there's more to the Abbot Kinney festival than hemp bags, lemonade and Stevie Knicks-inspired knitwear, I Heart Guts will also have a booth, along with local hipster crafters Bughouse, Spicy Brown and Detroit Sprinkles. Come stop by our booth at the Abbot Kinney Street Festival in Venice, CA, this Sunday, September 27, from 10am - 6pm. We're conveniently located near the festival beer garden near Abbot Kinney and San Juan Avenue, so come say hello and give your ol' liver a break.
The holiday season is fast approaching, and for us, that means stuffing our car full of guts and heading off to crafty fun retail shows. We heart these shows because it's fun to meet people, and see all the incredible creativity on display from other vendors. Felt Club is one of our fave events, and this year should be bigger, better and wackier than ever -- check out the list of vendors if you don't believe me. I spy handcrafted knit tacos, jewelry made from legos, eco-friendly bath goo, gem sweater princess Leslie Hall, adorable plush carrots from Planet Tokki, and so much more! Just two more weekends away on Sunday, Nov. 16. If you're in the L.A. area, please drop by so we can meet you in person and enjoy getting holiday gifts made by local craft nerds. So much better than the mall.
