Intestine – You’ve Got Guts!

intestineThe small intestine absorbs nutrients from food, while the large intestine absorbs water and excretes solid waste. The appendix, located at the bottom right of the intestine, doesn’t do much of anything. It may have been used to digest cellulose, but we think it’s also pretty darn cute, and every intestine needs a friend. Say intestine in Japanese: Cho!
