An app called SpiroSmart acts like a spirometer, and even comes quite close to the accuracy of medical spirometers. How clean is the air you breathe? If you live in a city, I'm sure you notice the difference as soon as you venture into the suburbs; air becomes easier to breathe and might even have a sweet scent! The American Lung Association's list of U.S. cities with the cleanest air made me realize I don't recognize most of these cities. Does fewer humans mean less pollution?
