If you aren’t yet afflicted with holiday shopping fatigue, stop by the Bust Craftacular at The Echoplex this Saturday, Dec. 12, from 10am-6pm and come fondle our spleens in person! The first 200 attendees get a free gift bag just for showing up, plus there will be raffles throughout the day, free bevvies and other hijinx. Bring canned goods to donate to the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank. If you need still more crafty holiday shopping, Mohawk Swap is just down the street! To get an idea of what you’ll find, peep the video from last year’s Craftacular. Yes, it is supposed to rain, and we know how Angelenos do with rain, but c’mon by anyway! Directions to the Echoplex here.

If you live in Los Angeles and are even thinking about hitting the mall for some holiday shopping this weekend, stop yourself! Come to Unique Los Angeles instead! We will be there Dec. 5 & 6 along with a gang of other 250 great local vendors selling cool and interesting stuff (including our fabulous new Heart of Gold wreath, pictured here). Festive and fun and better than any horrid shopping center, you can find everything from a rainbow Abraham Lincoln head made from crayons to kids clothes to eco wares from over 50 different green vendors. We have a bunch of wristbands that let you get in free, so contact us if you’re interested — these are limited, so write soon! Wear an I Heart Guts t-shirt to the event and get a free pin! So many exclamation points!
Happy Gutsmas!

The holiday season is nearly here, and that means we here at I Heart Guts will take our organ show on the road. First up, Unique Los Angeles will help local artisans, crafters and weirdos sell alternative wares to the mall-weary public. We will be there Dec 5-6, at the California Market Center downtown, and we think admission includes some kind of limited-edition tote designed by Shepherd Fairey’s design studio. Super boss, right? Next, we’ll be at the Bust Craftacular at the Echoplex in Echo Park Dec 12th only — gift bags for the first 200 folks there! (If you’re in San Francisco that weekend, hit up Bazaar Bizarre on Dec. 12-13 — we won’t be there, but other awesome stuff will be). Then we’re off to Norcal for the first Renegade San Francisco Holiday show, up at Fort Mason Dec 19-20th. Should be fun, and we’d love to see you at any and all of these fabulous events. We’d like to take a moment to mourn the loss of Felt Club, certainly the best and coolest craft show around Los Angeles. This was especially sad after also losing Bazaar Bizarre LA a few years back. We’s also like to add that we generally sell our stuff at 10-15% off our regular prices, plus you’ll save on shipping, so come on down!

Next up, we’ll be at the Bust Craftacular in Los Angeles this coming Saturday, so please do stop by! Yet another chance to get amazing handmade and/or weird stuff for the holidays and avoid the mall. Weekend after that (Dec. 13-14), the guts will be at Unique Los Angeles, a two-day show with a ton of local vendors (voted a shopping “best bet” by the Los Angeles Times), should be a very good showing and is great for those last-minute shoppers out there. There’ll be an open bar at Bust from 4-5pm, and Unique is getting sponsorship from Pabst Blue Ribbon, so hang onto your livers! Come visit and keep me company and I’ll give you a free Liver Not a Fighter sticker — does that sound like bribery to you? It is.
