Intestines – You’ve Got Guts!
Intestines turn food into poop! The small intestine absorbs nutrients from food while the large intestine takes in water and excretes solid waste. The colon, cecum and rectum are all part of team large intestine. The appendix, at the bottom right of the intestine, doesn’t do anything, but we still think it’s cute.
