Since EMTs sometimes call motorcyclists “organ donors”, so the folks at Death Spray Custom have taken this to heart and made a custom organ-themed motorcycle suit for those gutsy riders out there. {via Monster Eats Design. Thanks, Laura!}

Handmade Guts

Posted: Thursday, June 21st, 2012

Found these old friends in a box in the basement, the handmade felt organ prototypes I made with my mom around 2006. You can tell they’ve been well-loved, they’re super ratty looking. We’ve had some fun times with these guts, check out all the places we took them here.

There’s nothing like an Endo party, and the guts are off to Texas for Endo Expo 2012 in Houston June 23-26! We won’t have a booth, but a few special endocrine pals will be on hand at the Endocrine Society’s booth #1135, right across from the stage, play with your pancreas, thyroid, testicle or ovary or check out an assortment of pins! You can also try to win free pancreas five-pack of buttons at the Endocrine Wheel of Fortune!

Carry Your Guts

Posted: Thursday, June 7th, 2012

It’s been getting crafty here at Guts HQ… This very special I Heart Guts reversible handmade tote bag is a great way to show you’re gutsy inside and out. Part of our ongoing quest to use these cease-and-desist shirts we can’t sell but can’t bear to throw away, either, my fabulous cohort Rachel got crazy with the sewing machine and learned how to make a bag out of t-shirts (along with some tweaking of her own devising). Black on one side (using this tee), white on the other, this satchel goes with everything! Just the thing to carry a book, your phone, and a little snack to the beach this summer, take a look and see what you think.

Cast Your Ballot!

Popularity contests are not our favorite thing, however, you can’t win anything if you don’t have the guts to ask, so if you happen to have a few minutes to spare in front of your computer, and you feel the Guts have touched your life in some small way, please vote for I Heart Guts as Fan Favorite for the Designer Toy Awards 2012. You have to log in, and write something nice and even upload a picture… I’m telling you, it’s not easy. Here are the steps: register/login, go to Profile>MyEntries>AddEntry; there’s a drop down menu where you can choose the Fan Favorite category. As nerdy underdogs, we are up against so many awesomer-than-us toys, but we would surely appreciate your time and nomination! Entries close June 15th and they will announce the winners mid-July, may the best toys win!
