This incredible knit throat by artist Ben Cuevas will be part of a hospital-room themed art installation at Canal Gallery in Holyoke, Massachusetts. The pink part is the wonderful thyroid gland and at first we thought the purple was the parathyroid gland, but on second glance we realize maybe it’s a just a vein. There’s a game for every cupcake at Steelhead Studio, where they made 100 game-themed cupcakes, covering everything from Tetris to Guitar Hero to Q-Bert. Of course our favorite is the Operation-themed one. Incredible baked work of madness, delight and fun. {via Boing Boing}

I have a strong weakness for trashy magazines, especially when I’m sick, as I’ve been for the past two freakin’ weeks. Anyway, the recent issue of Glamour offered a health tip that seemed appropriate for the new year — that forgiveness is good for you. The body releases the stress hormone cortisol when you’re angry and upset. Too much cortisol could lead to heart trouble, and it makes you pissy to boot. So do yourself and your body a favor and let go of whatever and whomever is bothering you. We’re all flawed in one way or another, right?
