Who knew the Legoman was so complicated on the inside? Although I guess I imagined his guts would be square-shaped and stackable. [via Unpluggd]

Inside the Head and Heart of Legoman

We won’t be the only guts at this weekend’s giant Felt Club holiday event — peep these cute body parts from Four Idle Hands, Sublime Stitching and Art School Dropout. Those body part patterns in the middle make me wish I could do embroidery. It’s gonna be fun and we promise you won’t regret going. Swap-o-Rama-Rama will also be in effect, so bring clothes to embellish or trade and make your own damned presents this year.
Gotta Have Heart
Posted: Tuesday, November 11th, 2008The heart often inspires great things in fashion, but never before has it been featured so prominently — peep these good things, left to right: a fabulous embroidered heart and lung dress by Munday Laura, an I Heart Organ Transplants tee by Cotton Factory and a heart-stopping number from Russian label Lugaru’s spring 2009 collection. This Little Piggy
Posted: Thursday, November 6th, 2008Could genetically-modified pigs be the answer to organ donor shortages? One fertility expert seems to think so. It’s pretty interesting stuff, read on in the Daily Mail.
Vote With Your Gut
Posted: Tuesday, November 4th, 2008
Today’s the day, so have your say. Yes, the lines are long, so bring a book, make a friend in line, or text message your fingers to the bone, but please VOTE on this Election Day. And to sweeten the deal, here’s a list of free stuff you can snap up just because you had your say in American electoral politics (coffee, ice cream — a haircut?). Wouldn’t it be nice if the voter turnout was above the depressingly low average turnout of 50%? As long as it’s a higher number than the number of people who vote for American Idol, I’ll be pleased.
Felt Club's A-Comin'!

The holiday season is fast approaching, and for us, that means stuffing our car full of guts and heading off to crafty fun retail shows. We heart these shows because it’s fun to meet people, and see all the incredible creativity on display from other vendors. Felt Club is one of our fave events, and this year should be bigger, better and wackier than ever — check out the list of vendors if you don’t believe me. I spy handcrafted knit tacos, jewelry made from legos, eco-friendly bath goo, gem sweater princess Leslie Hall, adorable plush carrots from Planet Tokki, and so much more! Just two more weekends away on Sunday, Nov. 16. If you’re in the L.A. area, please drop by so we can meet you in person and enjoy getting holiday gifts made by local craft nerds. So much better than the mall.
